Château Lesvescault · The Gîtes
MaisonOlivier
The heart of the domaine
The Gîte
Thick stone walls.
A George V headboard.
Step into Maison Olivier and you are immediately enchanted by the space. The thick stone walls keep the living room perfectly cool on those hot Charente days, while an open plan kitchen and dining area invite long, unhurried meals. Upstairs, two beautifully appointed bedrooms - one with a headboard from the George V hotel in Paris, another with a wrought iron four-poster bed - overlook the entrance to the gardens.
Silk curtains, a Napoleon III cabinet, a 19th-century armoire - the furnishings of Maison Olivier are as storied as the walls that surround them.

Living Spaces
The Ground Floor
An open plan living space with a fully equipped brand new kitchen - gas cooktop, electric oven, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine - opening into a spacious dining area and a comfortable sitting room. High-speed Wi-Fi and a television with French and English channels complete the space.
A large powder room on the main floor adds to the ease of the stay. The private patio beyond the door is perfect for alfresco dining and long evening aperitifs in the Charente air.

Bathrooms
The Bathrooms
A stunning cobalt blue shower room with an antique dresser vanity, gilded mirror, and candelabra wall sconces serves the upstairs bedrooms — while the ground floor utility space, with its vaulted stone ceiling and laundry facilities, speaks quietly to the age of the building it occupies.

The Bedrooms
Bedroom One
A bed (180cm × 200cm) with a headboard sourced from the George V hotel in Paris, dressed in finely pressed cotton sheets with a latex mattress pad - four pillows and a summer duvet. Stunning brocade draperies frame the windows, which overlook the entrance to the gardens.
A wonderful armoire and a ceiling fan complete a room of understated grandeur. One pool towel per guest is included.
The Bedrooms
Bedroom Two
A wrought iron four-poster bed (150cm × 200cm) dressed in finely pressed cotton linen, framed by silk curtains and accompanied by a Napoleon III cabinet and a 19th-century armoire - a room where the history of the domaine is felt in every detail. A large modern shower room serves both upstairs bedrooms.

Outdoor Living
The Private Terrace
Step outside to a private patio with a table and four chairs, a parasol, and a circular lounger — the perfect place to settle in for a long evening under the Charente sky.
