1. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the full deposit payment as specified at the time of booking. Until payment is received and a written confirmation has been issued by Château Lesvescault, no reservation is guaranteed.

By completing a booking, the lead guest (the person making the reservation) accepts these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all members of their party. The lead guest must be at least 21 years of age.

2. Payment

The full rental amount, together with a refundable security deposit of €750, is due at the time of booking confirmation. Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Château Lesvescault does not store card details.

All prices are quoted in Euros (€) and are inclusive of all applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

3. Security Deposit

A security deposit of €750 is charged at the time of payment. This deposit is held against any damage, breakage, or exceptional cleaning costs incurred during your stay.

Provided the property is returned in good order, the deposit will be refunded in full via Stripe within 7 days of your departure date. In the event of damage or loss, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the deposit. Should costs exceed €750, Château Lesvescault reserves the right to invoice the lead guest for the outstanding balance.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to contact@chateau-lesvescault.com. The following refund schedule applies:

90 days or more before arrival

Full refund of the rental amount. The security deposit is refunded in full.

30–89 days before arrival

50% of the rental amount is refunded. The security deposit is refunded in full.

Fewer than 30 days before arrival

No refund of the rental amount. The security deposit is refunded in full.

We strongly recommend that guests arrange comprehensive travel insurance, including cancellation cover, prior to confirming their booking.

5. Occupancy & Use

The domaine accommodates a maximum of ten (10) guests across all three gîtes. Individual gîte capacities are as stated at the time of booking and must not be exceeded.

Château Lesvescault is an adults-only property. Guests must be aged 21 or over. No exceptions will be made.

Château Lesvescault is a private facility. Only guests named in the confirmed booking are permitted to stay on or access the domaine. Visitors who are not part of the confirmed guest party are not permitted on the property without prior written consent from the owners.

The property is let for private residential use only. Commercial photography, filming, parties, events, or gatherings beyond the confirmed guest party are not permitted without prior written consent.

6. House Rules

  • Check-in is Thursday from 3pm. Check-out is Tuesday by 11am.
  • Smoking is permitted on private gîte terraces only. Smoking is strictly not permitted inside any building on the domaine.
  • Pets are not permitted anywhere on the domaine, without exception.
  • No parties, events, or outside gatherings are permitted. The domaine is a private residence for confirmed guests only.
  • Music and noise must be kept to a considerate level, particularly after 10pm.
  • The heated saltwater pool is for the exclusive use of confirmed guests. Children are not permitted.
  • Guests are responsible for leaving the property in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Any damage or breakage must be reported to the host immediately.

7. Liability

Château Lesvescault and its owners accept no liability for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage to personal belongings sustained by guests or any member of their party during their stay, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

Guests use the swimming pool and all facilities at their own risk. The pool is not supervised. Château Lesvescault accepts no responsibility for accidents or injuries sustained in or around the pool area.

Guests are advised to ensure their personal travel and medical insurance is adequate for the duration of their stay.

8. Force Majeure

Château Lesvescault shall not be liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to fire, flood, extreme weather, pandemic, acts of government, or civil disturbance. In such circumstances, Château Lesvescault will endeavour to offer an alternative date or a credit note at its discretion.

9. Privacy

Personal data provided during the booking process is used solely for the purposes of administering your reservation and communicating with you regarding your stay. Data is held securely and is not shared with third parties except as required to process payment (Stripe) or send booking communications (Resend). For full details, please contact us directly.

10. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.

Last updated: May 2026. These terms are subject to change. The version in effect at the time of your booking confirmation shall apply to your reservation.
