The Culinary Retreat

Chefs come to Château Lesvescault to create and teach a personalised, immersive week of culinary classes within a listed 15th-century Monument Historique, rooted in the flavours and seasons of France.

The Concept

An International Chef, Our Domaine, mixed with the Flavours of the Charente.

Professional chefs from around the world are invited to bring their favourite guests or clients to an exclusive week of hands-on training in our custom outdoor kitchen — showcasing their favourite French recipes, drawing on the finest seasonal produce of the Charente, and sharing the art of French cooking in one of the region's most remarkable historic settings.

The Chef

The retreat is built around the guest chef. They stay in the beautiful orangerie, with full access to the estate's outdoor kitchen. Their expertise, your appetite.

Cook & Learn

Each day is shaped around hands-on cooking sessions that the chef has created exclusively for their guests including market visits in the morning, long lunches prepared together in the magical outdoor kitchen, and evenings in the tower with wine and cognac from the region.

A Private Domaine

The entire estate is yours. The gîtes, the gardens, the pool, the potager. An intimate, unhurried week inside a listed 15th-century Monument Historique in the heart of the Charente.
